As women, we are taught to disconnect from our bodies. To push through and ignore symptoms. Popped on the pill or coil to ‘fix’ hormonal imbalances (meanwhile the underlying cause goes unchecked). Treating busyness as a badge of honour – believe me I’ve been there- go-go-go was my default mode for years.
All this disconnection sets a shaky stage for perimenopause.
The result? The perimenopause dread sets in. We bury our head in the sand and push through until we can’t cope anymore. We sense what’s around the corner and desire to be proactive but just aren’t given the tools to do so... we lose our self and our confidence in the process.
But what if perimenopause could become a time for empowerment and self-reconnection?
In China, menopause is celebrated as a Second Spring. It represents the renewal of energy and opportunities as there is a shift from fertility and reproduction, to conserving and nourishing the self.
We get to choose our story.
I was at the peak of my career in corporate pharma when disconnection from myself and my hormones brought my world crashing down and left me with debilitating chronic health issues and infertility.
Since then, I have redeployed my expertise into nutrition and functional medicine, have reconnected with my self and my hormones, and now am thriving during perimenopause.
My mission with Second Spring is to help you do the same.

Our goal is to get you feeling as good as possible, as quickly as possible! Often when we think we don’t have time for something, the issue isn’t time, but it’s actually fatigue, brain fog and overwhelm holding us back.
As with all change programme, Second Spring will require some commitment at the start - I alway recommend ladies join with an open inquisitive mind and playful spirit. Initially commit to at least 1 hour per week to start explore the low hanging fruit for you. I know that once you get going you will fly! The small but powerfully practical tools you will learn will help your energy to lift and open up space in your world.
The programme is delivered online via the Second Spring online portal, along with monthly LIVE group coaching calls via Zoom, and access to the Second Spring community via Facebook. You will be guided through the programme by resources in the ‘Let’s Get Started’ section on the portal, as well as by weekly emails to give you a focus for that week and help you stay on track.
Yes, you will still gain plenty of powerful insights, strategies and relevant take-aways from the programme. Working on other areas of your health will still support you to feel amazing and bring more confidence and ease back into your life!
Second Spring is designed to support women who are in their late 30s to early 50s. In many ways the deep reaching benefits of Second Spring will be especially felt by women in pre- or early- perimenopause.
YES! The programme will take you through what changes you can expect, and some of the telltale signs of perimenopause. But more importantly, we’ll focus on creating a strong foundation for you to thrive through your 40s and experience a smoother perimenopause, whenever that is for you.
Perimenopausal or not, most women in their 40s have started to experience hormonal imbalances that are dampening their spark, and will benefit from this programme.
The food we eat should be exciting and delicious! Our meal inspiration and recipes will help you to discover new and yummy ways to eat foods you might previously not have enjoyed. If you’re open to trying new things this programme is for you.
However, if you feel you won’t be able to incorporate any whole, nutrient-dense foods into your diet, this programme isn’t for you.
If you follow our perimenopause formula, you will experience positive change in your health and your life - more energy, better sleep, improved mood, a renewed sense of self. Everyone is different, and results will depend on our unique biology and where we start from.
The strategies in this programme will give you, a rock solid foundation to continue to nourish your body and mind, improve your stress capacity and reconnect to your body’s innate wisdom.
